Company description:: ATLANTA – “Through the Eyes of a Child” art auction, which features more than 40 original pieces of professionally framed artwork created by children ages 10-15 in Russia’s orphanages, will be held at Atlanta’s premiere hotspot Club eleven50 on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 7:00 p.m.
The Intercountry Adoption Congress (IAC), a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, is a human rights watchdog for orphaned and abandoned children worldwide. At the IAC, we strive to guard the fundamental needs of this disadvantaged population by engaging in advocacy and education efforts and offering technology solutions.
United States Senator Mary L. Landrieu (D-La.) says of the IAC, “Each year more than 20,000 children from all over the world are adopted into American families; and each year, many more wait for that same opportunity for a permanent and loving home. Unfortunately, the process of international adoption can often be a long and difficult one. Through advances such as the Hague Treaty on International Adoption, international efforts to curb fraud and abuse and the work of groups such as the Intercountry Adoption Congress, hopefully we can make the process better and more transparent so that more families are united with children needing their love and a home.”
Purchase your $30 in advance by calling IAC Director of Special Events Kimberly Merritt at 678-893-7462 or at the door at Club eleven50.
All auction guests are invited to stay and enjoy the club with no additional cover charge.
